Thread: auto team select?

I recall that CS 1.6 had an option where you could disable team selection when you joined, and the server would select your team for you. Assuming CS source has the same server option, I really think that should be turned on.

Right now, team stacking seems like a major issue. Everytime Aztec or Dust comes up, the CT team fills up at the max rate, while the T team lags 1 or 2 players behind. Same with assault or militia, except its the T side.

Auto team select would result in more balanced teams and more enjoyable playing experience.

Actually the ct's and I were getting pwned on aztec the other day. Just get a good rush going thru those doors and set up shop.

everything is possible. i've seen cts lose at aztec, dust, and cobble, and i've seen MAJOR pwnage on the ts @ Italy, compound, ect. its all about teamwork. even the smallest flaw in the team can get everyone fucked up.

Team stacking is a problem on this server. What typically happens is all the regulars group to one side or the other. It doesnt mean that one team can't beat another through teamwork etc, but stacking still occurs and it hurts the server.

So we have established that teamwork is needed in part of the ct's on these maps. Now how much teamwork is decided by who joins what team (IE: all regs on the T side means more teamwork necessary on the ct side due to the experience advantage of regs.) So in essence, all regs on the t side would force the ct's and any non regs to learn to play as a team and with strangers, thus highlighting the importance and practice of teamwork. Now, by having an auto selection choose a team for everyone randomly, you have taken away any reason for ct's to learn how to play as a team on any of the disadvantaged maps ( and vice versa for ct side maps IE: aztec) Actually it is my opinion that maps like aztec, dust, and Italy (I really do not like the way assault is set up) is not sided towards their believed respective teams. Meaning that T's have a huge advantage if they can communicate and rush as a whole (same with dust) and the same goes for ct's in italy. Bad attitudes immidiately take effect when these maps come on because everyone on the quote "disadvantaged teams" dont feel the need to play as a team b/c "they will lose anyways".

if i teamstack by accident..for example..if im oen of the first ppl on the servert and my team keeps winning i will usualyl switch over and help out teh losing squad...just funny little thing, today me grey and bueller were t...i ahd been ct and we were raping so i went over to t..(this is on dust1) so i organize some rushes and we pwned the ct's 10 rounds in a row,,and in that time 5 ct's had disconected after tey started losing

Scipo's personal propensity to teamstack, awp and sell his team out would be obvious to anyone who's been on the server with him.......

This is aweak gripe for a nonexistant problem.

Take the time to read fully the threads I've posted, get TTP's thoughts on the REAL issues at hand.
