Now that they've changed the melee weapon to be secondary slot... when your downed, does that mean youll fend your self off with a melee weapon o.O?

No, Chi Chi.

You see, Melee weapons take the spot of your pistols until you choose to drop them.

So naturally, once you get incapped, you drop your melee weapon, and out comes your pistol.

Thing is, Melee weapons pretty much substitute the second pistols. You won't have two pistols, plus a melee weapon.
