    Thoughts on switching to FF?

What do people think about friendly fire?

I'm generally of the opinion that it adds a nice extra bit of realism to the game. Plus it encourages a bit more team play, picking fire lanes and what not.

The biggest drawback with friendly fire is idiots deliberately shooting their teammates. But since TT usually has a admin on, that problem can be nipped in the bud.

i half agree with you, other half of me doesn't

i like not having to worry about accidently blasting a teammate in the head or TKers disrupting the server.

But i agree that it adds to the realism and would force even tighter teamplay and stricter shots by keeping people from spraying and praying into a crowd.

The admin can run a vote in the server if anyone ever requests it, but most people like it the way it is (including me)

You shouldve put up a poll on this topic and let everyone vote.

I don't think FF should be on full time, but maybe a part time thing, like an admin can set up a vote for FF on that particular map, should there be any immature players online the admin can turn it off without having to vote for it. Or punish those responsible.

I like FF simply because it teaches you that the source hitboxes are extremely close to the models, you can shoot through someones legs, around their elbow, down their neck, without so much as grazing them but still creaming your enemy is crazy.

I'd vote yes, but not for full time.

FF is bad because it gives the opportunity to a lot of ppl to screw up gameplay with TKs. Especially those who could care less if they get banned... I think it would degrade the quality of the server and result in less regulars playing...

Besides, I imagine the admins would get fed up with having to kick people all the time as I'm sure they like to actually play sometimes too....

FF brings more bad issues to the table than good.

If you don't personally know and trust every member of your team to play under FF responsibly........it can't be used. And since we're a high traffic, public server......there's no chance of it being a permanent config.

Also, we are pretty........excited sometimes during the matches. Especially when a member of the team isn't holding up their end. It doesn't help the situation if that player is then tempted by teh fact they can start TKing all of us, and essentially ruining the momentum of that team, as well as ruining the cohesive/teamplay nature of the game.

FF.........is pointless. For most players, especially those that have been playing for a while......FF isn't an issue, since they dont' waste time shooting at their teammates, and have gotten really fast at ID'ing their targets as friend or foe. so........adding it to the game isn't going to make it considerably more enjoyable.
