    BF games are big, and slower than close up, no vehicle games in the Source universe. FF.....complicates things much, MUCH more in these games then it does in BF.

    as well, BF2 set the FF standard when it first came out, forcing all ranked servers to be FF on. People got so used to it, an entire player base was created that could play responsibly in an FF environment.

    Such a significant population does not exist in CSS and DoD. There are FF servers....but it's more of a 50/50 split, if not 75/25 in no-FF's favor.

    thinking tactically makes sense when the battlefield is huge, there are an infinite number of ways to attack a target, and there's 30 players to a team.

    in close quarters, 20 man maps, with 3 minute rounds....tactics are a bit different, and the consequences of FF are that much more amplified.
    Granted some of the maps are fairly small, and none of them are as big as Battlefield maps, but we don't have 3 minute rounds and players respawn. It's not the same issue as it would be in CS.

    The exception to this is on Search & Destroy, which already plays out slower and more tactical.

    I think we can work with FF on.

    BF2 has sizeable maps, and longer distances for flag caps and such. With Cod4, the combat is always close and always intense...FF on for a cod4 server would prove to be more of a liability than an asset at the moment...

    i do agree FF may work in some instances YES but for the most part i am sure we, myself included would be the one accidently shooting a friendly I am not affraid to admit it accidents happen. I for one would not like to run all the way across the map in some instances only to be killed by a teammate, airstrike, or chopper. would you? I can almost bet not. but again accidents happen. Especially since things like airstrikes and choppers are not a controlled function of the game you click on the part of the map you want to lay down suppression and for the most part it does the rest. Very much unlike BF2 where those tools are controlled solely by the player. As i am sure the gaming atmosphere would be totally different as well people will be bitching over Voice Comm so and so keeps killing me and then you have the rogues who will instead of letting the management of the server take action and begin teamkilling in self defense. We have all witnessed it in BF2 and BF2142 and CSS This in my opinion takes away from the close teamplayer experience. Also some maps are very small and will be almost impossible not to get a killed by a friendly. Like said earlier by other members for the most part the BF series of games are based on much larger maps where for the most part you are not thrown into enemy territory after respawn. This game you can pop out anywhere in the map if all flags are held by the opposing team very unpredictable. So with all that being said it is something that should be looked at but right now we are not a well enough established server to where we have a regulaar pool of players to choose from. There is for the most part always room on the server being it is rearly full so lets work on getting our server recongized and build a bigger player base.
