rampant team stacking
Team stacking is probably the biggest problem this server has right now. I'm not referring to everybody joining the side with the better players. I mean how 90% of the regulars join the team that has the better side on the map.
I've been paying more attention to this lately, and almost everytime we play a one-sided map like aztec, dust, or compound, the defending team fills up to the max possible, and half the peeps sit as spectators and spam to join the easy team as soon as a spot opens up.
The people who do it the most seem to be the regulars on this server. I'm not innocent of it, and many of the admins aren't either.
The end result of this is that most of the regulars end up on one team, and random pubbers on the other. Good teamwork can overcome challenging maps. But how can you expect random non regulars to come up with any teamwork when there's nobody to provide them leadership.
The end result is that the hard team winds up stalling, failing to rush, being undermanned and generally camping. The admins slay a few people, but that just results in half ass'ed rushes that get most of the team killed. After a while, an admin will switch a 'skilled' player over to the other team. But that usually doesn't result in much improvement because one or two people can't organize a bunch of pubbers on a tough map, especially if they don't have mics.
Since the admins don't want to turn on forced team select, its up to us, the players to fix the problem. I've been working on playing the hard team at lesat half the time these last couple weeks. Buts it's very frustrating when almost all of the regs join the easy team. Mithrane and Spamdawg are like the only two people who I've noticed are willing to suck it up and play the hard team on any sort of consistent basis.
So how bout it guys, who else is willing to commit to at least playing the hard team half the time? That means if you play CT on aztec, you gotta go T on dust.

RE: rampant team stacking
I remember one time when we were at Prodigy....I joined the CTs and you messaged me that it was not fair to have the advantage 2 maps in a row. I switched over the next round, didnt I? as long as things are voiced on the server, I try my best to listen.

RE: rampant team stacking
yung's stacking is just like Mr. T's robot: fucking obscene. lol jk
for real though, it is a bit of a problem, but the only thing harder than gettin pubbers to use teamwork is getting regs to join the harder teams. this problem doesnt stop there either, if for some ungodly reason a bunch of regs get on the harder team, then comes the awp and auto problem, followed by the same stacking problem as before.
i think if teams start looking stacked, an admin might wanna step in and fix the teams. of course i am an idiot and there are probably ways that wont work, so i will just shut my mouth now. i mean my hands. look at my hands

omg........... THis topic again. I know Im not on the server and all but really think about it. Scripo you are a good player. Be a leader, get on your mic and yell at your team to listen. Call out shots make sure that you know who works with the team and who does not. Be observant to all of your team. I dont know how many times I have seen posts like this complaining about the teams.
http://texasteamplayers.com/index.ph...ewtopic&t=1637
Read there about one sided maps and you will realize that its not true. Do you see any regulars on my team on dustI think not its called yell and tell them what to do.
I mean when I was playing sometimes I would get switched and I would try my best to do the mission. Scripo I notice that their are alot of new players on the server and you need to teach them who is boss by telling them what to do. You will get the asswipe who says "stfu its just a game" and that is just one guy. If people do not understand Team play then that is a problem but nothing you can do.
And when their are admins on Scripo they make sure that things are balanced. They will help what ever team they can win and do the mission.
Honestly alot of people need to just work together as a team and play right.

ok but their was a time when I and a couple other regs got switched on Dust and we were playing with and alot of regs well the T's won but only by one. But we did a good job. Grey some regulars I can take on some I can not it does not matter who is on your team as long as you can control them. And that was one Thing that I was good at.

rgr that, but 75% of the time no one listens unless you miraculously and single handedly beat the cts with a TMP. that makes em listen.

rampant team stacking
So I hop on today, and I'm pleasently suprised to see a bunch of regs playing CT on Italy. We lost over all, but at least we made a good showing of it.
Sadly, this was a one time thing. Through prodigy, Dust, and Office, the number of regs on the attacking team was next to nil.
@krazy4cash
This statement sums it up right here:
I mean when I was playing sometimes I would get switched and I would try my best to do the mission
@Tony_perkiss: Yep I give you props for helping out the T's on prodigy. Unfortunately, that was 1 player 1 time, and you sucked it up and played T because I asked, not because you auto-joined. Switching to the losing team is a lot more than many other regulars will do, sadly, but we need people to actually be willing to auto-join.
@yungryder: I totally understand wanting to play with your clan-mates. But try getting your entire clan to join the tough team. It's better practice for you guys anyways. Clans are much more organized (hopefully) than regular pubbers, so if a bunch of guys in teh same clan join the hard team then they can make it a good match, instead of a 1 sided slaughter fest.
In fact it was mostly your clan that stepped up and played CT on italy today. But once isn't enough. At least 50% of the time we need peeps to do that. After four maps it was more like 25% of the time :-(
We really need to get a core of players who are willing to auto-join most of the time. That will go a long way towards changing the server culture here. Another thing that would help is if Admins switched people who stacked the easy team more often.
I've been doing a lot of bitching at players on server, and I've had some success. The admins have also been getting better at forcing players over to the losing team, but frequently its just a random guy with a good kill ratio, and not a regular who knows how to organize and be a team player.
