lol - thats telling him DJ. Honestly, I play a lot of 2142 and haven't noticed Tampa "killing" the server any more than the other maps. With that said, I find it to be a fun map to play. Even if the server pop is low. The games might take longer, but there are still a lot of ways to enjoy that map. Try out some new ideas on synchronized movement of armored columns, jump in the guship and hit a light pole (oh wait that's mine), practice tank sniping and pilum sniping as those are things that come in handy on almost all maps (or grab the saaw and knock some of those annoying gunship pilots out of the air). Jump in the commander seat and lead the troops to glorious victory or ignominious defeat....the list goes on and on

My only problem with it is that it takes a little long sometimes, but the same could be said for all the NS maps. I like the idea, but the tickets could be reduced a little. All in all, it's a keeper by me.

Also, it scored pretty well in the 2142 Top 5 map vote when the servers were a main and a top 5. It was a top 5.

given the BF2 server is sitting in the 98th percentile of BF2 servers...I think we'll leave it like it is.

Tampa is a good map; it "kills" the server because people are still too lazy to read the message that comes up EVERY TIME they log in, and download the map. 95% certainty it's laziness over dislike of the map. No other map does that to the server populations, and I know people don't like other maps (^^^), so it's down to them not having it.

I love Tampa on 2142 (I quit BF2 before the map came out can't comment on it there)

Latly the game seems to turn into Gas Station = Iwo Jima

The place gets pounded to hell and back from long range Vehicle fire and strafed to high hevan from the air and the Marines are constantly pushing in to form a beachhead, but the Defenders always seem so entrenched it is a blood bath for both sides.
