Drugs and Drinking

I know you get warned/banned for making comments about drugs during a game so does the same apply to promoting drinking when kids are playing on the servers?

No, and the reason is you and these 'kids' are playing games where you shoot people in the face and watch their head explode.

These kids watch TV and see people drinking all the time. They see ads for alcohol all the time. They see their parents sitting back and enjoying a beer after work.

It's a non issue, it is legal in the United States therefore it will be legal to discuss on the server

Why even bring this up?Of course kids are playing and dont need to be subjected to the drug/drinking thing.if your using a mic, talk about when kids arent listening

Think of it this way; talking about drugs=bad since they're illegal. Alcohol is a trickier subject. You can talk about drinking (you may want to stop if you realize a little tike is on), but encouraging someone underage to drink is going into the grey area. In terms of the FCC, that would be a no no, but TTP isn't the FCC. Just use your best judgement.

If you are talking on voice-chat about pretty much anything that is not related to how we are going to win the current game on a server at TTP, be prepared for a kick/ban from the ever watchful TTP admins.

my interpretation thus far is what others have already stated: drinking is legal, drugs are not. That is a clear line with all moral/ethical issues aside.

being a drunk is not legal though. Public intoxication, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace......all sorts of unlegalness assocaited with drinking.

so...are we talking about "drinking" or about getting drunk?
