Do you have error logging enabled? If so, does anything of interest show up in there for this event? If logging is on, according to the default code it should show up in a table called <<PREFIX>>error_logging.

the error logs for the forum don't reflect the logs for installation. It's likely a formatting issue, where the part of the template it wants to squeeze into has already been modified by another package (or several) and it's causing issues. only critical updates and other issues get a pass when it comes to these kinds of errors. Not extras like this.

Ah.. damn. Without specifics of the errors it will be hard, as I am sure you are aware. I think it is safe to say that this one is tabled for a little while. Thanks for re-looking into it.
