Re: css motd update
just because someone asks why was i slayed doesnt mean they didnt get a message, it usually means they didnt see or chose to ignore the message. and i challenge you to find someone slayed for BHinp of QSing that was not warned or at least was not in the server when a warning was given. I would consider that admin abuse to a very small degree, and i cant say that i have seen that.

Re: css motd update
The admins are discussing a change to the MOTD...but I wanted the point here to be that we as a group should be doing our best as "humans" to detirmine what's p*rn, and what's acceptable in a spray.
A lot of it IMHO should be left to the admin to decide.
Adding a rule to the MOTD, I feel won't do much.
Scuba, the agree/disagree thing is a new plugin that buni built for mani mod that an admin can use to display to a player a message about that player breaking a rule.
So the admin would pick a player and click - show quickswitch warning in his menu to player x and y. The player would have a text warning pop up on his screen, and be required to agree to it to avoid further punishment.
It's used at the admins discression as are kicks bans and everything else, and IMHO how things should remain.

i don't know about the porn sprays, i have sprays turned off, as for the racist comments, i agree that it's really about the context it's in, like..who isn't going to call kraker a craker . But when people come in spewing the n word and such the admins have always been very quick to respond with a warning and the players almost always pipe up on the mic as well.

Re: css motd update
To build off of what sjt said, I think that TTP is so unique because of how involved the admins are. They don't just say "lol d00dz check the motd" or whatever. The admins are always watching and they WILL take the time to PERSONALLY show you out the door if necessary.
I think most of the problem is that we have a lot of competitive players come in and out of the server that don't know our rules. This is why we show them.
I think that an MOTD change isn't necessary because there will ALWAYS be quick switchers, bunny hoppers, and etc. Why? Mainly because of the amount of competitive players that practice these tactics and as stated above, simply hit "OK" and join the game. A MOTD change may help SOME and not all. There have to be at least 1200 players registered in CAL and maybe 300-500+ in CEVO, and those are just the two common leagues. Out of these 1700 players, how many are going to read the MOTD? Honestly I think it will make the admin load a "bit" smaller, but that's why TTP has admins, to work. Right?
