TeamSpeak for TTP?

Now i dont know if you guys have it or not, but i do have a teamspeak that i can use and have full access to and would be willing to set it up for a TTP to use for full access. to me its called TEAMSPEAK for a reason, but thats just me, sure some of yall have xfire, but being that it is i consider that a recource hog, teamspeak isnt half of what it is. but i can start it up and anyone and everyone that is interested let me know (if any) and you can have your admin chats in one private locked area as well. but would like to hear from you higher up admins and let me know what ya think?

We do have admin communication. We do not have public TS because that is what in game VOIP is for.

True, but this would be a area where if some wanted to just come in and or play the game there would be a area for it, but its just something i wanted to offer to see if anyone was interested.

We had one a while ago stick. It was a lot of fun but it was the victim of one too many hacks. Thats when the web admins decided to make it for admins only

ya if they arnt password protected they can and will be hacked, i promise ya that..but thats what i mean they can be alot of fun as long as u password protect it and arnt a slap tard about it, something i was just thinking about is all

I think it would be better to just have a chat room on the TTP website that all the members can access, maybe even have separate rooms for each game. That way you don't have to deal with about 50 people voicing it up at the same time.

And TTP only supports games with VOIP, so a TeamSpeak really is not necessary except for private admin usage.

even under password protection, it gets hacked.

we have TS. a very large teamspeak server, with multiple channels, mods, admins, powers, all of it.

but it's not public, and likely never will be. if you want to use a public chat, use the steamchat (which has voice) or xfire.

good idea.  the biggest problem with it is when people in-game don't use TS.  if everyone used the in-game voip, weather the person had a mic or not, they could hear the other people telling enemy positions.  if the person doesn't have a mic, he more than likely wont have TS, and therefore wouldn't hear any chatter from other players over TS.  see where i'm going? it would be about as worthless as the other squad leaders not being able to hear a squad leader talking to the commander in 2142.

everyone, weather they like it or not, will hear in-game voip.  unless they turn off their speakers.  who the hell plays without speakers?!?  it's what it was intended for.

yup ts is old even with a lot of sec plugins and hooks still is way too vulnerable, ts3 though, will be a different story...
