We can, perhaps, let all resident clan members have the permission to use the "newsletter" function, maybe even all admins. this will allow them to use the admin panel to send a newsletter, by email or pm (you select which one).
we'll have to do some testing.
my suggestion is...simply make a comma delimited (right word) list of your clan's web names, and post it (like in your roster sticky). then, simply copy and paste it when you want to send a pm to everyone.

nope. won't work.
just enabled it for all registered teamplayers, and then logged into a geenral account. it gives you access to sending a newsletter to all possible TTP membergroups...not just your own. This then means that you can go to the next step, and see the listed names of all groups, as well as send to the TTP-wide member groups like registered teamplayers, or regular members, which is 5000+ and growing every day. That would crash the box/lag out the website.
Security risk. Not limited by individual group membership.
no.
perhaps smf has some kind of group package for this?

I don't see the issue with just cutting/pasting names with commas. You can recycle old sent messages by replying to them (guessing) so you can get the same recipient list quickly again, right?
