You get that effect now on one of the hot topics when you make your post and by the time your done it isn't important anymore because there has been 25 replies before you could hit post.

Yeah but half the time the forum drama would be cut down because folks could converse in real time without having 4 posts of bs in between a conversation.

If it is a security issue then fine, was just a suggestion. Shoutboxes are really made for bullshit, this was more so that folks could discuss in real time things that they might not even pay attention to on the forums otherwise.

Right when I joined TTP, it was just getting shut down.
I remember Toker with a lot of smilys.

But what about an IRC? It's always fun haha.

Are IRCs able to have seperate sub rooms? That could help keep everyone on topic and everything doesn't get lost in mumbo jumbo, and even have a room for the random.

I know you can have live chat personal sessions in IRC off of the main room. As far as sub rooms I don't know specifically.

I still think there is enough political talk to get a subforum for it just like the jobs forum off of the off the servers. I think many folks would appreciate that being separate so that it doesn't clutter up the main off the server forum. Political talk could encompass 2nd amendment discussion, party politics, local politics, and world politics. There is a lot more to talk about than just during the periods of voting.
