Thread: Spoiler tags

Surprised i've never posted about this but an idea from a another forum i visit frequently and it works quite well is spoiler tags.

Basically they aren't used as much to hide spoilers, but on the forum when a person posts a picture or a video they are instructed to use spoiler tags (unless the image is small) as from what they say, it keeps the image from having to be loaded.

Basically it helps to speed up reading threads and is useful for people are older computers as they don't have to load the video or the picture(s) to read the thread. It can also be used for sigs so that if someone wanted to see your sig they just like on the spoiler and it shows. Again making it easier to load up a page.

No idea on where to find it, i know some forum providers have it already there when you get a forum, but just thought it would be useful idea to help speed up loading and help those with older computers or more basic computers read the ttp forums etc.

sigs are pointless anyway

what exactly does a spoiler tag do? does it just show a smaller image until you click on it and make it load?

from what i've heard on the forum i guess the picture wouldn't load until you click on the tag. Gain just going off second hand from the mods on that forum, not sure exactly on the workings just that it works *shrugs*

For images and videos, YES! It would make things faster in cases, I would think.
For sigs....
