Thread: Request regarding ping limit

I don't have a virus mate, I use nod32. It was recommended to me by my hacker friend and his geek brother

In terms of "talking to my ISP," that's funny. I live in CHINA. There is 1 ISP in the entire country, and I don't speak Chinese well enough. Even if I did, China doesn't have customer service like we do in the states. They probably don't even know how to do it, and even if they did, they'd pretend they didn't so they wouldn't have to spend the time to figure out how to do it because Chinese people are lazy sacks of shit when it comes to responsibility. Not to mention the fact that again, even if they knew how to and wanted to take the time and responsibility for doing it, they wouldn't re-route a single person out of their 500+ million users.

Again Commander, I appreciate your help, but I think you are forgetting that there is going to be lag and ping issues when you live eleven thousand miles away from the server. There is nothing wrong with my ISP because I download very quickly here, so it's not "un-usable."

Then I would get in touch with GameRail and pay them $10 dollars a month. They will provide you with the best route, so you don't get all of those time-outs.

Instead of me paying $10 a month, which is a good bit of money here, why can't we come to a free solution such as making me immune to this ping limit, or have the servers attach a low "ping" to my steamid when i enter, even though my cl_cmdrate will still be 66. I'm sure something like that is possible

Even if I do get Gamerail which isn't worth it to me since I can still play on TTP with the only issue of being kicked every 2 rounds, I still live 11,000 miles away, which means I'll still have a 250 ping.

so now that I'm back from my trip, can we get the ball rolling again in the discussion about removing the ping limit. if the high admins don't want it, just lock the thread and say stop wasting your time. Otherwise, let's TALK about it, rather than diverting people's attention from the real issue: I live in China, love this game, love this server, and want to be able to play for longer than 2 rounds before being kicked.
