Thread: Server Lag?

Dear registered TPG members,

It seems during the last two days of playing CS:S, I seem to be getting lag spikes every 20 secs making my gaming experience horrible. This has come as a surprise to me since I never lag spiked before and I am absolutely dumbstruck why this is happening. But the most awkward thing happened today, I was playing on a HG DM server and I lag spike there ALSO. I was just out of words to say. Needless to say I have Googled up solutions but have come across no successful ones. If you know how to fix this issue please post a reply. As now currently CS 1.6 starting to lag spike TOO!

P.S. I am getting internet on a Netgear with my laptop.
P.S.S I tried the WCZ thing and it was unsuccessful.

Yep, I did the tracert thing, and it is very evident.
Every 5 secs it will go:

* * * Request timed out

This is probably when I get the lag spike.
