Does not make sense

I was looking at psychostats today and noticed that old stats are up. And I was like ok that is fine and then I noticed that my skills were droping a little. Now I looked at it again and now it says i have droped more!! I have not been playing the last couple of days so its not from other days. But I played today and I know i did not do bad. And I know that psychostats do not update that fast. So it seems like the psychostats are moving backwards. And I know that you guys are working hard to fix everything so its back to normal. But there is just that one mistake.

your skill score is always going to fluctuate, especially if your main victims (all of us) make big shifts up or down. Psychostats is based on more things than just KDs and head shots. It's not just how much you kill, but who you kill. Though you haven't played, the people you kill have, and their skills changing causes your skill to change as well.

regardless, going from 50th to 40th to 80th, when you're talking about a 6000+ player database.......is not even worth discussing. It's pure chance to make it into the top 100 sometimes. I played sunday night, and was 2:1, if not better on every map I played, with bomb defusals, bomb's exploding, and good kill counts.......and I'm "only" at 104.

being anywhere in the top 1-5% is an accomplishment. Staying there is even more difficult, especially if some lucky clown gets on, whacks you 3:1 for 10 minutes or so, and then disconnects. yeah, they only killed you 3 times, but if their skill sucks overall....it's going to hurt you even more than if, say, me or someone else with a high skill level were to do the same thing.

summary......skills fluctuate because psychostats is very complicated.

I understand that, but No way would the psychostats update in one hour! That is what happened. It was low a little and then it just went down some more. If im seeing it wrong then im wrong. But I have never seen psychostats update that fast.

it says what time it updated at (I think it's PST) so......perhaps you looked it right before, and then right after an update. It updates 2-3 times a day, automatically.

ok i guess that is possible but still my skills should not have droped. O well forget it, I understand now.

your skills dropped because the people you killed had their skills drop, affecting your skill calculation. Your skill didn't drop more than 1 or 2%, so be sastisfied. That's how stats work.

I understand it all now. One more thing though, does each weapon have a different log? Because I know the psychostats are older one ( I can tell by hour time). It still shows my flashbang kills but it took away alot of my knife kills. I just wanted to know if each weapon has a different log. Also Inoticed my awp kills went way down too. Also big if u noticed u only have 390 knife kills. You used to have 1000!!! this is the last thing im confussed on.
