budget crunch = text link ads

I really dislike them. I understand their necessity, but I hope other ideas are being considered.

One, off the top of my head--> Paid website membership with no underline ads, comes with a reserve slot of your choice for 6-7 bucks? Or maybe $10 per month, no underline ads, with two reserve slots?

I have one reserve slot now and really can't justify more, because I mainly only play one game. But, if I'm (or whoever) helping the community with more money, helping myself with skipping ads AND my other game gets it's own reserve slot as well, I think I might more able to swing it (or get the wife to agree, whatever, ect.)

we've offered no-ad subscriptions in the past. I think it's entirely possible for us to modify at least the top and bottom ads (the side ads aren't "permissionable" to provide for this.

signups are usually pretty small...but hey...let's say $10 a month for no ads (text, top, and bottom)? The admins will discuss.

Shit I was pissed when I got dropped as a "TPG Subscriber" because of the Ad removing problem. I will be signing back up for that if/when it is available.

I liked it. Probably do it again... except after you showed us the 100s of permission groups at quakecon, probably alot of trouble for a small few.

yup.

I just tested making the top and bottom ads disappear...and it's not working right. We made some changes to the template, and perhaps the ad mod isn't working properly. will investigate.
