CS:S servers lagging and choppy

It seems as if the CS:S servers could use a restart. I'm unaware if TPG has their servers restart automatically daily during a very low traffic period or not but that would be ideal.

You could also give certain admins rcon permissions where they can easily restart the servers if need.

rcon_password (password)
rcon map (de_map)

will log the admin into rcon and allow them to restart the server and have it load on the map of choice (de_nuke will load nuke and cs_office will load office, etc). This will cause all players to be kicked from server with "SERVER SHUTTING DOWN" but they'll be able to reconnect usually in 20-30 seconds.

From what I played today, there wasn't any lag.

Also, the servers restart every morning at 7 am central.

I played 3 hours tonight and trust me there was a lot of lag, it actually died out the last hour i was on.

Were your pings jumping around? Did it look like everyone's pings were jumping? Rubber-banding occurring? When this happens, we need exact timestamps so that we can check the logs or if Im on Steam, msg me while its happening and if Im there, I can take a look at it in realtime.

No pings seemed fine it was just really choppy, at times it looked like people were teleporting lol

Yeah, I played one round last night on mill, and there was a lot of rubber banding. The other players said it had been going on for a while. I was on at about 10CST.
