BF3 TEAMPLAYER IDEA
In an effort to draw more attention to the use of TeamSpeak and VOIP communication in the TPG BF3 server, I would like to propose the idea of using Teamspeak or TeamSync VOIP in the server listing/name. (and yes it may be Trade mark infringement or something, but who's to say Teamspeak wouldn't like the attention on a BF3 server, I bet they would even say yes if they were asked)
I came across a neighboring community that brands the use of VOIP on their server very effectively. TacticalGamer.com - TeamSync VOIP, Large Maps Only, FF On - Server Browser - Battlelog / Battlefield 3
Surely, it could't hurt to do something similar. Especially now since the chat was moved, and can also be completely hidden.
I've been seeing the server's population doing quite well lately, but not so much on the team speak side of things. After the server died last night, I joined their game and Teamspeak server. Not to my suprise their was 40 people in game and 35 of them were in Teamspeak.
TeamSync is the plugin we run correct? If it's not exactly identical ours, it does the exact same thing with the squads.
So how about it!

TG has a large, dedicated player base. During peak hours they can likely populate multiple servers with their forum members alone. Not surprising that there's a high percentage of participation in TS.
We do not use TG's TeamSync solution. We use a plugin for Procon that was developed in-house by Imisnew. The TG solution offers some more options (Like Squad Leader communication) and is currently being looked at.

Re: BF3 TEAMPLAYER IDEA
Right.
All I'm proposing is just change the name of the server on battlelog to include VOIP or something about Teamspeak. That way if I way if I was to join TPG as a random, I cannot possibly miss the fact that TPG has a dedicated TS server.
With the recent patch, I can simply hide the chat channel in game, disconnecting myself from any broadcast of admins, or server messages. This defeats the entire purpose of streaming the TS server information in chat. Why not take advantage of the ability to broadcast the message with a 100% view rate for anyone who joins.
Oh and when I joined TG last night, It was around 2:00 am CST, far from peak server times.

TG has a huge presence in Europe. So they have people near around the clock.
As for hiding the chat box... there's no way to permanently hide it. It re-enables itself almost every time you die and between rounds. We'll take it into consideration, though.
