TPG-Hosted Custom Map Downloads

This thread will contain downloads for all custom maps that are supported by TPG. This thread will be updated anytime there are new custom maps deemed decent enough to be played on the TPG server, and/or anytime the custom maps are updated to a new version.

If you see a map that you believe is good enough to be on the TPG server feel free to post a thread on the forum and see what others think about it, or you can PM an admin and they will get selective tests going and official make the call on whether it may or may not be good enough.

Tip

To share maps with friends:

The lobby leader must have the map installed. Any other players will be given the link to DL the map if they do not already have it installed.

Once you download a file unzip it and double click the .VPK file to intall the map, or if that does not work move it manually to your addons folder. Full extension:

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead\left4dead\addons
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\addons

NOTE: Do NOT put the file in the add-ons folder!

Double clicking on the .VPK will leave the old version installed and you will get an error("String error") while trying to join a game. If you have an old version of a map installed prior to the current version supported on TTP, Make sure you remove the old version before trying to join a game.

Coal'd Blood

Map Description:
The campaign starts in an abandoned bed and breakfast and leads the survivors down into an old abandoned coal mine. The survivors eventually find their way out the other side of the cave to be rescued by a passing news chopper..

Death Aboard

Map Description:
In Death Aboard you start out in a prison and work your way out to the nearest docks area. From here, you board a stranded ship and finally to an island with a lighthouse as a finale.

Map Description:
Survivors must make their way through an infected city to escape the zombie apocalypse

Death Aboard 2

Map Description:
Death Aboard 2 is the convertion to L4D2 of the popular Death Aboard campaign for L4D. It is now set during daytime.
Final version is out! everything is in a single vpk file now.
If some of you still have problems figuring out what to do on the second level: Try looking in the sewers..

One 4 Nine

Map Description:
In the Nevada Desert, the U.S. Army have built a Military base around an ancient 'alien tomb' and after years of trying have managed to open it. Four survivors heard rumors of a fortified safe zone in the base, but have no knowledge of the tomb nor what will await them upon arrival....

Tip

To start a custom campaign lobby, simply start the lobby as you would any Coop or Versus lobby. Select the "Campaign" button; you will see a list of the four original campaigns, plus a selection that says "Custom Campains". Select "Custom Campains," then select any custom campaign from that list.

Updated to include Suicide Blitz. SB is still being added to the servers (as of 12:17AM CST), so it will not be available to play on TTP for the next few minutes or so.
