the free 2 play model is very nice. Basically they will only make money off the cash shop items. So no penalties to any of the game content for not being a paying customer. Will have wait and see if cash shop items make it pay 2 win though.

I was looking for something different too.. killed my everquest account... may kill my rift account...

In the meantime... In the process of downloading Aion. Bought the collector's edition.

me and a friend are playing right now on an eastern server (which ever one comes last alphabetically dont remember the exact name) as elyos

right now i got a 31 ranger and a 15ish gladiator.

its a pretty heavy grind of a game which is expected being a korean game. but on my ranger i only play with my friend so we are almost at the same exact xp. it varies a bit because you get xp for gathering and lose some for dying.

Having someone to level with makes it a much less pain in the ass

I might pick it up with my sister and her friends later. She likes to play healing classes and I like to play tanky classes or do when I get a dedicated MMO healer :P
