Re: Why I play EVE!
Yes but according to the herfblurf that passes for debate over there (and FHC to a degree as well) GSF has "pocket devs" because Fozzie was a goon (and I think that there are others too who a former GSF members. But based on sheer numbers alone, GSF and TEST have the highest likelihood of seeing a player hired into CCP......
....but maths are hard I guess.

Re: Why I play EVE!
Well, if I wanted to, I could work for CCP. I could be a dev. Doesn't seem like very much fun though. Imagine having every swinging dick in your alliance sending you EVEmails everyday about how they would like something changed. Or every time you got on TS or Mumble?
Ugh...
I'd rather continue working on my own projects which will someday replace EVE, and you all can say "I know that guy!"

Re: Why I play EVE!
This is true.
Whenever I look at Goons, or TEST, or the CFC in general, I just smile. Its the same thing BoB went through. They killed everyone for so long that no one could stand against them. People simply ran from their fights. Their pilots got bored. the only people active were industrial's getting fat on 0.0 riches, caring very little for the effort it took to claim and hold it. Infighting occurred, and the once invincible juggernaut that was BoB, crumbled and withered from within.
Goons will undergo the same issue soon. TEST will follow. They NEED for alliances like -A- to continue to thrive (or they have to fight each other). We, are the only alliance that will fight more often than not, who are not allied with anyone in the CFC at all. If -A- dies (in its current state), then the CFC will be like Alexander The Great, who said...
"When Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept for there were no more worlds to conquer."

I predict an HBC slope before too long. While TEST provides the masses in the fights for the most part PL provides the leadership. I don't foresee an alliance like PL being happy grinding sov for much longer, so when they leave TEST will be able to be picked on much more easily than they are now. Just my 2 pennies though.

Option,
Here are the links I told you about. The first is EVE Monitor. The second is Eve Fitting Tool. I, or anyone, can help you set them up. Others may suggest you load some additional software like EVEHQ, but get these now. They are easy and will help you understand what your toon is doing better.
Locate the Installer in the middle right of the page. Click and follow.
