the game is set to take place basically about the middle of season 1 in the timeline. The Jaffa resistence is starting to build momentum but the Tok'Ra, Nox etc. have not been encountered yet.

I'll sign up for the beta tonight, but if they screw up the combat system, this will just be Tabula Rasa 2.0.

Which would be a shame.

Which is what I'm fearing. Tabula Rasa looked great and had potential, but from what I've heard, it sucked. Hopefully they won't screw this up too.

UPDATE!!!

X-play has gotten inside access at Cheyenne Mountain, and we have GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE!!! As well as a look into the game!!.

Hmm at the end they said they hope to see more info at E3 this year and Comic Con. I didn't watch Comic Con so I don't know if anything happened there, but I don't recall seeing anything at E3 this year. Did I miss it, or did they just not have anything?

Clip didn't look that bad, we'll still have to see where they take the combat system though as it sounds...weird so far I think. Not quite an FPS, but an FPS with RPG elements or an RPG with FPS elements? That was stated but that's what it was sounding like to me.
