Fun, but a steep learning curve. Try and connect with some of the TPG people already in game. They can help you out.

I've been playing since last December, and found EVE to be worth the $15 per month. It's not your standard MMO though: if you are expecting a WoW type game, you will be disappointed. If you like to decide how YOU play a game, then EVE might be to your liking.

Fantastic game overall. There are dull moments, and lag can get to be a problem if lots of people are in the same system.There are spreadsheets in the game, but that is mainly for market and industrial activities. Eve has a MASSIVE timescale. I am still in some regards considered a noob, even though I have been playing the game for close to a year now. Graphics are spectacular, and everything is done on one server. No having to try and decide on what server you want to put your character on, since we all use the same server. I can guarantee that you will be at a great disadvantage until after your first six months of play in most professions. There is so much you can do to make money in the game that I would be surprised to find anyone that finds them all boring. This game is extremely intensive, and well worth the effort you put into it.
