    just saw the e3 trailer. It looks like pvp is queue-based, which is shit. Eve pvp is the only mmo pvp done right, why does everyone try to fuck it up to be "casual"? Just look at how the pvp queues are still fucked up in STO.

    and a limit of 15 on "clan group missions"? WTF. I mean yeah ok, lag is getting worse in Eve, but since sort of the whole point of progress is to make it better than the other guy(tm), you'd figure people would make arbitrary scalability as one of the primary design objectives.

    The only thing this has in comparison to eve is that it is an mmo in space involving spaceships. This isn't meant to be eve, it doesn't want to be eve. Combat in eve is shit imo because you aren't really piloting, this at least has real piloting and real combat, not relying on arbitrary stats in order to determine the outcomes.

    It's just like how I like DDO combat over many other games. The more action oriented the combat is the better, I don't like auto attack since I feel cheated just standing there and letting the numbers play out.

    So the main thing you don't like in Eve is the non-piloting combat. It sounds like you want to look at Vendetta Online or wait until JGE comes out. But what I'm saying is, we need something that is basically Eve but with newtonian space physics.

    I agree. Black Prophecy at least has the MMO + pilot style combat and with it being F2P I'm going to try it regardless.

    Even JGE isn't going to have true Newtonian physics and will have some 'space drag'.
