Hi gang - I know AION got some pretty good reviews at launch except for there not being much to do after you reached certain point and it really turning into a grind. I am wondering how the game is going today, and what folks think of it now...
My wife and I enjoy playing LOTRO but I am looking for another MMO to play very casually until the new Star Wars comes out.
I think the only way to try out AION is to get an invite from an existing player, right? If so, if someone has an invite they could throw my way that'd be great.

He is referring to a trial or demo. Unfortunately you need to have an active account for 3 months before you can send out trials to friends.
I don't believe there is another way to do that.
I enjoyed the game when I played it, but I didn't have time/money to commit to it. That is why I'm enjoying the F2P option that LOTRO has right now as I enjoyed that game as well and now I don't have to pay for it or feel like I need to devote X amount of time to the game to get my monies worth. I believe there are a few TPGers still that are active in AION though who might be able to hook you up.
