Thread: Guild Wars 1 and 2

Howdy all -
So I don't know how many of you played the original Guild Wars, but I did. All 3 campaigns actually and I have one dungeon left in the expansion on my main.

If you're unfamiliar with the series, it's an excellent game that is still worth checking out. You can get all 3 campaigns for 40 dollars on Steam. Once you've purchased the campaigns, you're set for life - no subscriptions (though they do occasionally release an expansion or new campaign, though they haven't in a while).

There's an upcoming MMO called... Guild Wars 2! I've been following it quite closely as it looks to expand the GW mythos (which is quite cool in my opinion) and fix all the gameplay problems of the originals. And as an added treat for hardcore fans, there's a bridge between the two games called the Hall of Monuments, a feature of the expansion Eye of the North.

Basically, all your achievements, titles, fancy armors, mini pets, etc. will transfer over into GW2 in some way or another. You can see how they will transfer over here:

I'm looking to get everything.

Does anyone here have any interest in joining me on my quest to beat every campaign on both normal and hard modes? Even if you're only tagging along for a mission or two, it'll be a lot of fun. Anyone is welcome!

I've been following Guild Wars 2 ever since there were rumors about it. I've already got the game on pre-order and I can assure everyone that it will hold me off for a long time...

As for your request, I'd be willing to join you. I only have Prophecies and Factions though, so we'll have to do either of those. Currently have a level 20 Assassin, and scattered level other characters. I can start from anywhere, just give me some info.
