Dynasty Warriors Online?
Anyone want to try it?
Dynasty Warriors Online - First Free Online Dynasty Warriors Game at Aeria Games
My friend and I use to play hours of this game on the PS2. Now there is a MMO version? About time!

Yeah I hate to admit this but I used to eat these games up when I had a playstation 2.. Still looks like a lot fun, and being able play with some TPG members could make this a blast. I'll have to pick up a game pad though. Been meaning to get one anyways a lot games I've wanted, but would be best suited on pad rather than keyboard.

Hell yeah! Looks bad ass. That should be incredibly fun. I got a decent controller that should work great with this. That is so cool that Aeria Games and Koei teamed up to make this. I love Aeria Games, they have a lot of good F2P games, it is just hard to find a solid group of people to play with though since most people dislike F2P since they think they are inferior.
I'm curious though, will the actual players all be Officers and the only Officers in the game? Or will there be Officer NPCs as well. I didn't look into the site itself much but the video looks great.
Damn it TMD! Now I'll be wanting to play this instead of doing my work. Work/homework comes first though so I'll have to wait to try it out. I'll definitely give it a go though when I get time.

Pulled it down. It played just like Dyansty Warriors.
The tutorial is probably days long. You have to accumulate 200 honor by doing repeatable missions and training (which may or may not include other players). The maximum honor per game/mission I've seen is 12. That's a lot of playing with one weapon before you get into any of the "cool" stuff like buying armor and the like. I think this game puts grind to a whole new meaning.

Yeah, I made Guard and am under my new general now. It is fun though because it it mostly just killing shit. Although some of the missions under my new general are hard. I failed one and got a C on the other so I didn't get any reward which kind of pissed me off but at least I know now before going into those missions when it launches into the full game.
Since it feels like a DW game I don't really mind the grinding though because for the most part the training is useful to understand how they set everything up and if you play through enough of the tutorials you should be easily ready to finish the missions needed to rank up to Guard and get to the fun stuff. I like that level of detail for the tutorial phase. It is basically the noob zone of most MMOs, except there really isn't much new gear or weapons for you to get.
