My guess is IKEA is taking a loss on the food because they know they are making up for it on the furniture. Traditional restaurants aren't selling furniture to make up for cheap food prices.

Yea they might be breaking even on the meatballs but the other side of the coin is...if you go to any restaurant and order meatballs and a bottle of water your tab will run up to 15 euros...which is ridiculous.

Shit...I can import BELGIAN meatballs, cook em with ITALIAN olive oil and compliment them with Italian cheeses and I can sell that under 15 euros and still make a good profit margin.
