And you are still kind of missing my point.

What I'm trying to say is that you can call whatever crimes whatever you want.....hate crimes, mild dislike crimes, tender loving innocent crimes...whatever. It's when the similar crimes are punished differently because of the color of someones skin, ethnicity, or orientation, that I disagree.

Ok I agree with you...but when did I ever start talking about different punishment for similar crimes?? You´re arguing with yourself, I haven´t even gone there yet...

The contrary to what the media would have you believe, the victim being a minority doesn't automatically classify something as a hate crime.

Because people get extra time/punishment when whatever they did gets officially labeled as a "hate crime".

And Wicked.....It is a pretty cool place to be. Minneapolis has a great music and arts scene (sorry about Prince....and Soul Asylum....but we gave the world Dylan). Drive an hour in any direction, and it's an outdoor playground. 12,000+ lakes (a chain of lakes runs through Minneapolis...all have Muskie) and the Mississippi keep us cool in the Summer, and drunk in the Winter (ice fishing).

Alright...but I´m still not arguing that point with you...I agree similar crimes should be dealt with similar punishment. That´s not my problem with this thread.
