North Carolina Death Row Inmate Writes Letter About Life of 'Leisure' - Yahoo! News
I know "life of leisure" is open to interpretation, but I think he sums it up pretty well. I know there are probably many homeless people that would "kill" for 3 hots and a cot, let alone color TV. I guess I have little to no sympathy for criminals like this, but I think if the system is going to let him live then it shouldn't be a life with pleasantries.

There are lots of things wrong with the whole criminal/judicial system in this country, but I doubt many homeless people would want to be incarcerated for those things as they would have no freedom. (I feel part of the drifter mentality is enjoying the sense of freedom) I feel like this guy is really just trying to stir up controversy to appease the boredom of prison.

I am sure there are many motives. I am almost certain that one motive is that the guy is bat shit crazy in the first place. However, I know if I were single with no kids or wife relying on me, and was faced with be homeless and hungry, or rob someone to get what I wanted/needed to survive, I would likely choose the latter knowing that the consequences are closer to what I want anyway. I would prefer to have a roof over my head, three meals to eat a day, heat/ac, a shower, and even TV and rec time as opposed to living in a cardboard box eating out of a dumpster.
IMO the punishment doesn't fit the crime in MANY cases.deathgodusmc liked this post

Funny, I thought last time we had a discussion about political correctness someone *cough*YOU*cough* said Christians weren't made fun of here, especially not by you, yet I have seen tons of posts by...YOU...doing just that. I guess tolerance is a one way street to some people, and not just some Christian people.
And to your point, I have both given and received assistance from people in my life. Some believe in God/Jesus/the Bible, and some don't. So what?
