Even from the coldest perspective, keeping the kid here is a good public relations move for the USA, definitely much better than deporting her. The cost savings from deporting her would be worth less than the loss of face. Your heartlessness wouldn't help the USA, but rather hurt it. There's a lesson in there for you, but I suspect you won't find it.

Don't get me wrong, I believe the US should not deport her and should let her stay.. but who is going to take care of her?

I mean, I guess a family could adopt her. Does she have any family left here in the states?

The article does say that relatives want to keep her here, so I'd assume they'd take her in and adopt her. Who those relatives are and anything else about them isn't stated.

let's assume her parents didn't die in some car accident. Lets assume her parents died... in a gun fight with police while trying to rob a liquor store. Both parents died, as well as two officers, with others critically wounded. Do you deport her then?

There's no sense in assuming what "could've happened" ...what happened is what happened. It was the right thing to do.

Does she have anything to do with the robbery? So we punish a child for the misgivings of the parents? The answer is no we don't fucking deport her, and we hope she doesn't end up following in her parents foot steps. I don't see how punishing an innocent child gives those dead cops & their love ones any extra justice. Back on topic if the girl has family here then I see no reason to deport her back to where she has no one.
