Re: Rush has done the impossible
I still stand by the fact that her friend or her can run down the street to planned parenthood and get the shit for free. Obama looking for the woman vote. He didn't have it before, now he is looking for votes anywhere he can get them.

a) it's only free in special cases and if you're under 18. I'm not sure if you're familiar with college, but most college students are 18 or over. And, Obama didn't have to go looking for those votes, the Repubs/Conservs lost those all on their own. Hell, even Boehner, Romney, Santorum, Paul, etc. while they disagreed with her, used much more civil language rather than telling outright lies and vulgar words. Take note of how Alundil is analyzing the situation, that's called being a gentleman.

Re: Rush has done the impossible
That remains to be seen/confirmed (other than the fact that the committee was run/called by Pelosi).
I've struck the pieces of this that are conjecture as they bring nothing to the discussion. Nor do the serve to make a point on the merits of the discussion. She might be a pro-abortion activist, but that has nothing whatsoever to do with whether she took a break between undergrad and grad school. Large numbers of people take breaks between undergrad and grad school. They aren't all pro-abortion activists. It's an illogical assumption to try and link those two things.
This is also an assumption = your tinfoil is showing.
Yes - and?
Conjecture and how do you know why she enrolled?
This is completely correctly. He was not correct for saying it. He apologized.
Which ones are those again?
This is immaterial to the actual discussion as they were not being forced to offer something against their beliefs and practices....IF.....the points related were true. By this I mean the following.
They have an obligation, that they themselves undertook, to provide for the health and welfare of their students.
This student, though I still don't know if the ovary lady was a student or not (but let's consider her one for the sake of the argument), had a medical condition that was addressed by the administration of a specific medication.
This medication also happens to be administered for the purposes of contraceptive
The case of the student should not (and does not) hinge on whether she was seeking contraceptive or not due, simply, to the fact that there was a larger overriding health issue to address, per the school's self-enforced obligation of healthcare.
This means that they should have approved the prescription of the medication to address the cyst problem whether the lady was abstinent, nymphomaniac, hetero or homo because the medical need was unrelated to any of those factors.
Just out of curiosity.....which is more expensive to the insuror only as related to your insistence that we're dealing with contraceptive for the purpose of contraceptive:
1) A year of ortho-tricyclen, or;
2) Childbirth and associated costs
I know the answer, do you?
Again, based on what metric? Certainly not any of those you've covered thus far.

Sigh, the people who decided she was unqualified were all men who were all already opposed to the idea and who only approved witnesses their party presented who all happened to be men who shared their point of view. I don't buy that. Anecdotal evidence is also called by both sides all of the time. Funny how it when it suits them, that it is denied. I'm sure the Dems do it, too.
And what does it matter if she is pro-death (I mean if she's not pro-life...)? Among those women who are having sex and who are against abortion, a very high percentage still use BC.
As for plants, who do you think those people testifying for the repubs were? Just impartial witnesses with no bias? I hardly believe that you're that dumb.
As for Rush's apology, I agree with Ron Paul in that it was a crock load of shit that was only done to keep from losing sponsors, not that that has worked since he's lost 28 of them now.enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P

1) What were the reasons stated for that denial? Out of curiosity?
The committee invited just one witness, Sandra Fluke, the third year Georgetown Law student, who House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) dismissed as an “energized” “college student” who was not “appropriate and qualified” to testify before his committee.
2) Ok
3) I guess we're stuck having to take her anecdote as fact (even though those are "insufficient currency" in all of our other discussions
Well. anecdotal evidence is used quite frequently by both parties on all levels of politics. The issue in this thread is the demonizing of Fluke by the right.
4) Friend was employee? Or Student? You said "Yes" She was both? Neither? See above answer?
I think student. Not entirely sure. My reasoning is the language linked in Red's post (click to see the quotes from the transcript).
5) Couldn't find a statement on-line from them. Can you link it? Would love to read it.
Very well written.

6) Gotta love the pandering.....Not as bad or as funny as Mitt changing his position on a topic within 3 hours to the complete opposite of his original position.enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P

He was just teasing. If he was serious, he would have BSODed my laptop so I would lose all of my tabs with my links and quotes. Of course, I'm using Chrome, so he would really need to make a capacitor blow on my mobo. If that happened, who knows if it would be god though, I am on a Dell, which is on its 3rd Mobo. Who needs hell when you can have the joy of owning a dell?
He's getting serious on Rush, though. The only good news for him is that he got a new sponsor to offset the 28 he lost as of yesterday...a dating site for "suga daddies and suga babies".enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
