There was a recent court case where the (eventual) ruling was that someone can not be compelled to give up their own password. The court ruled that it falls under the right to not incriminate yourself.
If I was in that position I'd damn sure want a lawyer, but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't wipe your stuff. Just because you can't be compelled to lead someone to evidence doesn't mean that destroying evidence isn't a crime.
