Until the students chanting "USA" come out, or at least one of them, and say, "We chanted for the sole purpose of degrading the other team and school.", I could care less that they chanted. I can remember back in my days at middle school and high school where we would chant "USA" at school rallys just for the sake of chanting "USA". Not for any particular reason, but simply just to get a whole bunch of people to chant the same phrase. It wasn't even pride, I don't think. I mean what else are you going to chant that sounds cool? Mind as well be USA.
If these students purposely chanted "USA" to degrade the other team/school because they know that a majority might have other cultural backgrounds or for whatever negative reason, then the students chanting deserve what they got. Otherwise, it's not kids being "stupid", it's kids being kids.

I have a number of friends who were at the actual game. SAISD has a huge chip on it's shoulder, this is not the first time they have popped off playing the disrimination card. The earlier parts of the game were dominated by the Edison fans harranging the Alamo Heights fans for being spoiled rich kids. The actual USA chant was started by one jackass - and he in fact got what he deserved, he has had problems like this in the past. Rather than being racially motivated it was a class thing. The whole thing was blown way out of proportion by SAISD - this wasn't the first time and won't be the last.
