If I recall right the repubs had the house and senate. But kuddos on that part. I didn't like Clinton because of the USS Cole deal.

Right and I guess thats why their is several polls showing him tied with Obama head to head?

You realize that if FDR had been left up to his own devices and implemented the policies he wanted to implement, that we would have never escaped the Depression, right? It was his advisers' idea that were the successful ones.

You mean budget card shuffle. As far as i read just about everything a pres does isnt felt for about 10 years. Oddly enough that would make that unemployment rate courtesy of Reagan. Our economic growth has been going for some time and personally i blame our current status on Clintons policies. Of which oddly enough coincide with the 10 year rule.
