Now I know that news channels tend to report stupid stories but this is fucking retarded. CNN just had a 10 minute discussion on Obama's NCAA final 4 picks.

Something along the lines of "Obama's NCAA picks for the final four. There are no Cinderella stories. These picks do not show his belief of hope and change"

Fucking really? It's a fucking bracket.

Maybe. But I think the point was that it wouldn't matter if it was a slow news day.

The majority of what presents itself to us as news, and the majority of people who wear the Journalist hat, are either really bad at their jobs or are not even trying at all. This can't possibly be a revelation to anyone here.

The best satire and comedy out there right now get their job done by ridiculing those things which laughably pass themselves off as "news." It's been really bad for a long time.

Rawr, I'm with ya on this. If "Obama picks his bracket" was the 10 minute segment at the end of 90 minutes of news, or was on page 4 of the NY Times Sports section, that'd be fine.
