Job Seekers being asked for Facebook passwords
So this is a load of crap.
Job seekers getting asked for Facebook passwords
Bassett, a New York City statistician, had just finished answering a few character questions when the interviewer turned to her computer to search for his Facebook page. But she couldn't see his private profile. She turned back and asked him to hand over his login information.
Bassett refused and withdrew his application, saying he didn't want to work for a company that would seek such personal information. But as the job market steadily improves, other job candidates are confronting the same question from prospective employers, and some of them cannot afford to say no.

thatīs crazy and fucked up...but what else can you do when you need a job....I know it should be illegal but you either get a job or go on a righteous mission to battle the injustices of business employers with no $$ in your pocket.

I agree it is BS, but allow me to play devil's advocate. I can add my employer to my profile, and as such be a "representative" of said company. If I then do stupid things and post it to Facebook my actions can (not read will) have a negative impact on my employer.

What is this facebook you guys are talking about? jk
Had it while my wife was deployed in Iraq, and cancelled when she came back. I got more important things to do in my life.
As for employers asking for your facebook password - I'd tell them to piss off.Last edited by Bubbasam; 03-21-12 at 01:05 PM.
