Re: Texas "One State Under God" lisence plates.
The temptation is to keep coming back with more examples to see if you'll admit there are any limits at all.
Having heard you more than once complain about how the gays shouldn't be acting all gay and putting that gayness in your face, a good test might be a license plate that has a rainbow background, the silhouette of two men kissing, and "Alabama is for gay lovers" as the text.
But that's just the temptation, and this game has no good end.
Is there anything that's off-limits? Does "if you don't like it, don't buy it" always work? Is there no distinction between what the state makes available for sale, and what is technically legal to buy from a private business?
Cheers,

So you are now you're comparing voters to "supporters" of a candidate's ideals and/or behavior/statements. Ok. Who should they support? I mean - if you're going to count votes as a true measure of support then sure - but if there are no other people to vote for then what? I guess we'll go ahead and throw the problematic dem candidates in there too and claim that their voters "support" their ideals just like your attempting to do to rep voters. But that won't be a pretty discussion either.
But we've now gotten into a circular facet of a whole other discussion and no longer on the same point.

So, it turns out that Texas isn't one of those states. The same board that approved this Christian plate rejected a "sons of confederate veterans" plate. Why? Well, clearly, because the Confederate flag isn't something that the state wants to be endorsing. Religion, on the other hand, is apparently completely appropriate.
