Fox News Mole Reveals Himself as 8-Year Employee, Worked on ‘The O’Reilly Factor’ - TVNewser

The Fox News employee hired by Gawker to write about his experience inside the network has revealed himself as an associate producer on “The O’Reilly Factor.” Joe Muto, who joined Fox News in 2004, says he has been suspended, with pay and was escorted out of Fox News headquarters today by “two nice gentlemen from security.”

Bound to be some interesting and funny, and some sad (I'm sure) stories that come out of this.

Sad, in the sense that there are bound to be some egregious misrepresentations that are about to be unearthed (or at the very least widely covered). Not sad that things will be unearthed, but sad to know with certainty that they occurred (not that I have any love for FOX or it's style of coverage or personalities).

It's a little like thinking someone is really sick, but not knowing for sure. Then later finding out that they were terminally ill and covering it up the entire time.

Might be the best analogy I can apply at this point. But it speaks to the disappointment that we should all feel towards traditional BIG media (FOX more than many though MSNBC is right there with them imo) because they have been failing, and continue, to accurately police our government and it's many apparatus. To often the mass media appears attached at the hip to pick a party any party government and the only people routinely snowed then are the ones most in need of a separate, discrete, and intellectually honest and unbiased media.
