I think it would be interesting if a congressman took another to civil court for slander. Being a communist is a definable thing just like being a Christian dominionist would also be definable. If untrue how would it play out?

I think it's not quite as definable as you do, but I don't know that it matters. Being a communist isn't illegal. Is it slander to accuse someone of being a communist?

Ae "nailed" it. It's not a smart charge to level at a group of people. Nor is it slander, imo. Communist is a legally recognized political party, though I disagree with that political philosophy.

But \o/. Shame to see West take that stance/platform as he seemed to be a pretty well-spoken person in general.
