Conscience Rights or How to lose an Election in one fell swoop.
"The clause has been interpreted – and by Wildrose’s own admission – as meaning a professional could refuse to provide services, such as performing an abortion or handing out birth control pills if they don’t believe in it on religious or other grounds. It has also been extended to cover marriage commissioners, who could potentially refuse to perform a same-sex wedding ceremony."
Conscience rights issue continues to dog Alberta election - The Globe and Mail
This has been a big thing where I come from the past month and ever since it broke the Wildrose has gone from being first in the polls and having a majority government to losing the election pretty majorly.

the BCMP needs to spread it's offices across to halifax IMO, (Ottawa so I can get a job there too) too many fussy and fighting politicians for Canadians to follow. If you get my drift I'm saying we could make a hellofa lot better use across the country even in the arctic with all our water, than America makes of their army across the globe. But hey, for now I guess we have to listen and wait for the current politicians to lose and fail in their ridings and stuff, and then we'll see newer, less self concerned snobs in the GVT. Canadians really shouldn't seperate themselves from nature like the Americans did, I mean we've got so much more green space, but no connection to it. anyways back to dreaming..
