Re: Vets to give back medals
Meh. Just another kid having regrets. He is allowed to have his point of view but its a little late to make a stand on your morals regardless of the outcome. If he really gave a shit he would have refused to go to make his point. Instead he went got his awards(which giving them back means absolutely nothing) and now whats to say we wont back NATO. LOL like that was ever his decision to begin with.
Hell of a protest to do absolutely nothing and not even worthy of a write up. No forced him to join. No one forced him to fight. 30-50 vets protesting the war is less then a drop in the bucket. Plus their saying the war and its acts were disgraceful. I guess they missed the part where it was their actions.
I love the part where they are going to carry an american flag then replace it with a white flag near the summit. So the plan is to protest NATO and say they are not behind them while surrendering to them? Dumb fucks with buyers remorse.

I found a new best part.
"Acheson said the veterans don’t have high expectations for how NATO officials will receive their protest. He also noted that he was keeping some of his medals because he was proud of his service, "
Well which is it? Are you upset because of the disgraceful acts or are you proud of your service?
