Re: DEA agent won’t admit heroin more harmful than marijuana
Without a comprehensive study done here she can not answer the question one way or the other without perjuring herself. In other words if she answered yes one side of the table could bring charges and answer the other way the other side of the table could. The only answer she can give is a non answer. Just the reality of the situation.

well, you have proof of it...hospital records....thousands of cases of people OD´ing on heroin....and thousands of cases of people never even close to OD´ing on pot.
The effects of both drugs can be measured and studied. I´m 100% sure it has already been studied and measured ad nauseum.

Hospital records are patient privileged. As such unless they are dead you cant just use them. Many scientists and doctors have been trying to get permission to do a comprehensive study without making any headway. I personally am in favor of doing the study but my vote doesn't seem to be enough. I find it odd that we have for just about everything but mj.

You were taking forever to respond, I was getting kind of nervous. I was seriously thinking "damn this kid is taking forever to respond, he's pretty smart, he might come back with something that's going to shut me up and make me look like a fool"
lol no I see what your saying, it's sad that she couldn't answer the question, but it wasn't in her best interest to do so. Still if she needed to avoid the question she should of done a better job of it. I would have said something like "I'm in charge of the DEA, it's our job to enforce the laws congress passes in regards to drugs. It's not my job to analyze how harmful drugs are, it's my job to keep the illegal ones off the street. My opinion of whether MJ is less harmful is irrelevant, if congress says that drug is illegal, I'm going to do my best to combat it." Instead she made herself and the DEA look like a bunch of incompetent fools.
Yea I don't think so either but I thought she at least could of given us that.

Studies have been done. Without consent from the governing body they do not count. Sad reality. Getting that approval would mean they could do one in the manner it needs to be done. Until then every study done will be useless.
You have to look at it from both angles. Legalize it and you can tax it and use it from what benefits it does have medically nation wide. Keep it illegal and possibly millions get to keep their jobs. So as tempting as it would be to legalize it this would not be a good time to do so.
