I agree that GE is basically a terrorist organization and that if corporations can donate to political candidates like citizens we should tax them like citizens, too. No more corporate welfare! Let's get pitchforks and torches and burn those MFers down.

GE a terrorist organisation? How did we make that leap?

These cars weren't for business use. These cars were personal cars for personal use. They already have taxpayer funded transportation for official business.

More importantly, why can't they cut their salary? Seems even more fiscally responsible if you are worried about debt. Maybe I'm wrong, but it doesn't seem as though Washington D.C. is exactly THAT expensive and besides does anyone think making laws equates to a 175k a year job?

Granted, considering how many of them supposedly get 7 figure jobs with K-Street later, I guess 175k a year would seem like a pittance (not to mention, anymore, how many of them seem to already be filthy rich prior to being elected)

I guess I could throw out the argument I receive any time I complain about how the Dems spend their money. "$X is pennies compared to the trillions in debt, so why even worry about it?" Yeah, it sounds just as stupid when I say it as when I hear you say it, so I will stick to my line instead. "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss."

We're talking about the same legislature that JUST decided to make insider trading illegal for themselves, even though it's been illegal for every other type of citizen for decades. Power is corrosive and corrupting-- I don't know why the Tea Partiers thought their officials would be any different when they made it to office.
