The police officer said it was common practice to confront people who walk down the street while carrying a (non-concealed) weapon. The victim said it was an "unlawful" common practice and he apparently knew the case law behind it. What people fail to realize is that it is not your right but your civic *duty* to question authority when you feel they are acting unlawfully. The guy in the first video was probably in the wrong (ie. due to suspicion of jaywalking the police acted within the law). But give him credit for standing up for what he *thought* was right.

I dont think anyone disagrees with that. He was an ass about it though.

You just defined ignorance, and gave it a free pass. There are too many ignorant people out there, zero credit is given

Dunn, I agree with you. But a lot of the posts on this thread were along the lines that you should submit to any demand from the police. I don't agree with that.

Disagree. Most of the posts thus far have been of the consensus that the couple in the video were completely ignorant, but had probably seen an article about "OMGABUSEOFPOWERFUCKDAPOLICE" and became instant experts on the law and their rights. Ignorant fucks like those in the video are just as much of a problem are just as much of a problem as any officers that "abuse thier power."

Know your rights, protect your rights, and be respectful when addressing officers, and you won't have a problem. Don't be an ignorant fuck. You'll get tased. Or worse.

Yea...you know what...as a citizen you canīt just assume that you are right, the cop is wrong and refuse to obey a police officer...if you donīt know what the fuck...then just hand them your ID...if you assume youīre in your right to disobey a police officer then things like what happened to that moron in the video will happen to you.
