I know for a fact and agree with your first paragraph. But I´ve never heard about the food thing. Where does that happen? Just curious because Honduras has probably one of the worst prison systems in the world...they´re basically controlled by gangs on the inside (which happens in many countries around the world, but down here the presence of the guards is almost null - they´re completely irrelevant to the prison population.) But I´ve never heard that the inmates fight over their "ration of rice".
