Lied to, already.
It's not a personal vendetta. It's just a fact. Look at what prompted my response here. Fov tried to claim he has no problem with anyone on this forum but one person, and I called him out on it that point. It's that simple.
If he wants to backpedal off of my response and try to sound like a reasonable guy to suit his own needs that's his prerogative, but I'm confident that any reasonable person can read through his postings in this forum and see plainly that what he said is not true.
As far as hostility goes - guys do you understand how close to the brink we are right now? How close this economy is to looking like Greece? I would say we are less than 2 years away at the current rate of deficit spending. If anything I gave Fov credit for being a smart guy. I said he (and those like him) knows exactly what he is promoting. HELL YES I'm angry about that. There has been a purposeful destruction of our economy over the last four years that took a bad problem and made it worse. Currency as a weapon of mass destruction against the United States. That is how serious this problem is. Have you bought your gold and silver? Have you bought supplies and weapons? Are you prepared for riots in the street when austerity measures are implemented and all entitlement programs are ended to pay back the interest on our national debt?
You guys sit here and listen to someone who supports a group that has overseen this destructive process, espouses that we need more of the same, and then advocates destruction of the Constitution of the United States as though it's just another point of debate. There should be a lot of people saying "what the fuck" about this kind of behavior, not just me or DG.
This President ran on a platform saying that the previous president was driving us toward a cliff. Then he simply pressed the accelerator. And you wonder if or why I would be hostile?
I want to sound the alarm here, thankyouverymuch. I want to say what I can to ensure that not one more person is won over to that point of view. I promise you it's not personal. It is thought out and reasoned, and based purely on what I have read.
This country cannot survive another 4 years under this president. Period. Hell I don't even know if it can survive under Romney. But Romney right now is the only show in town. And we had all better buy a ticket. Anyone who doesn't - the resulting crash is on you.
I promise this is way more than a silly personal dispute.

Lol at Lazarus being surprised that a leftist like me argues in favor of leftist policies. Shocking, isn't it? And, for the record, Obama is no leftist. Not. Even. Close.
I love how he blames Obama for the Bush deficit he inherited. As if he could have fixed a trillion dollar deficit during the worst economic recession since the Great Depression in a month. So cute.

Re: Lied to, already.
This a ridiculous statement. The left/right paradigm is a fictitious social division that only serves to promote conflict. What needs to be done in the interest of all mankind is the only side that you should be on and don't give me that crap about the best way to do things can be interpreted multiple ways because the only way is what is scientifically the best way and that's it. Science is what our world needs more of not money or big businesses.

Re: Lied to, already.
I blame Obama for the following (copied partially from another post I made):
Over 8% unemployment, still higher than during the Bush Presidency after four years (not one month - nice hyperbole pal), and even that number is bolstered by the fact that the way unemployment is calculated has changed to make it artificially lower: The 86 million invisible unemployed - May. 3, 2012
No incumbent in history has ever been re-elected with unemployment numbers this high.
Obama has added more to the national debt in 4 years than Bush did in the previous 8. Deficit spending is at a record high under Obama; Obama didn't inherit the record deficit we are now spending on. He owns it completely. This is NOT the way to correct a down economy. It's almost like Obama is trying to screw up the economy and weaken our position with reference to other countries. Ok I take that back... It's not *almost* like that. It IS like that. Example: The Obama Administration blocks expanding our oil production infrastructure and instead passes billions to foreign countries to produce oil and sell it to us for profit.

Finally, most Americans don't believe they are better off, and most don't believe Obama deserves a second term.

You think that's "cute"? Disgusting.

Re: Lied to, already.
science is knowledge and knowledge is free. you don't need money or big businesses for that. resources despite what the media and politicians say are still in abundance on the earth (not to mention the untapped resources of our solar system). there is enough to feed us, house us, and power our society the world over and that is all free as well. the earth gives us what we need not the guy at the counter holding the money at the bank. the sooner you realize that the better off you will be.

Re: Lied to, already.
Finite resources with an increasing human overpopulation. How to manage these resources is the key to feeding housing and powering our society the world over.
In the world we live in, nothing is free. Not knowledge, not food, not housing nor power. We would have to wipe out humanity and redo everything all over again.

Re: Lied to, already.
To be fair: science is not knowledge; it is a way of reliably arriving at knowledge. Conducting scientific research requires resources; under our current system that uses money. Although I certainly agree that science does not require big business. that being said big business has paid for quite a bit of scientific research... usually to patent and own the end result <sigh>.
