I'm going to assume that first sentence is sarcasm, because that's the way it comes across. To rebuff that, I'd like to point out that the piece was rather fair, and contained quotes and information from both sides.

I'd also like to point out that the Politico article you yourself posted laughs in the face of your previous argument that opinion pieces in newspapers have credibility. The Politico article mentions that Karl Rove has a Wall Street Journal column, and also that he runs multiple groups who've spent millions on ads attacking Obama and backing Romney. The opinion piece mentioned by your Politico link is about as blatantly pro-Romney and anti-Obama as one can get. After reading that, please don't try and tell anyone that opinion columns have any sort of journalistic credibility. There's a reason that in most colleges now, opinion columns are not allowed to be used as referenced sources, because they are not fact-checked.
