He had AR as leaning Obama, Obama lost by 20 points. He had LA as a tossup, Obama lost by 18.6 points. He had TN as a tossup, Obama lost by 15 points. He had WV as a tossup, Obama lost by 13 points.

and No I don't pay much attention to ole Dick. I also do not see either guy in a LANDSLIDE. That's why I started the thread off with "I found this interesting".

It came from "examining" the internals from the NPR and CBS/NYT polls. They cherry-picked two polls they liked and used them to draw a scientifically unsound conclusion. The sample size of Independent voters in these polls are quite small, so the margin of error is very high. These polls don't weight by party ID, so it's quite irrelevant because they let the people self-report their party affiliation.

Also, the state polls are more important than the national ones because states decide the election, not the national vote.

I don't see a landslide, either, so I'll agree with you there, but I also don't see a tossup.

Ah, so pointing out that what they are doing isn't scientifically sound is "defending [my] savoir[sic]," but you taking this guy at his word because it is beneficial to your candidate is what, exactly? I'd call it willful ignorance myself.

No but throwing view points in every direction while ignoring what they actually said does seem a lot like desperation to me. Most of us just watched and said interesting or something to that effect but you are tossing everything around like your trying blind everyone to what was actually said.

I'm sorry, I thought this was a discussion forum where we could discuss what is brought up. My bad, I'm sorry for pointing out that what they showed on the Romney's TV station wasn't statistically sound. I'll keep it to short, one-word responses from now on. I wished you'd have told me sooner that discussion was frowned upon. Could've saved a lot of trouble.
